Lumin Wealth has acquired Professional Financial Centre Ltd (PFC), based in Berkshire, adding over £50m in AUM to its expanding portfolio. This is Lumin VZ Group’s ninth acquisition since 2019, continuing its efforts to broaden its reach while distinguishing itself from private equity-backed consolidation models.
The deal further enhances Lumin’s presence in the UK, where it already has offices in St Albans, London, Bishop’s Stortford, Beaconsfield, and Reading. In 2021, the firm was acquired by the Swiss-listed advice and investment management company VZ Group, increasing its total assets under management to £34bn.
PFC directors Kirsten Dalton and Jeremy White, experienced Chartered Financial Planners, are joining Lumin with a shared commitment to providing independent, high-quality financial advice. Martin Cotter, managing director of Lumin VZ Group, emphasised the cultural alignment between the firms, stating, “We look forward to working together and are confident that this move will be successful for both parties moving forward.”
This latest acquisition highlights the ongoing trend of adviser-led firms seeking alternatives to private equity-backed consolidators. As wealth management businesses navigate an evolving landscape, deal structures and long-term strategic alignment remain critical considerations for firms aiming to secure their future within a larger network.
